Nutritional Immunotherapy

Nutritional Immunotherapy is a nutritional program designed to improve functions of the immune system.

What is the right nutrition? It is not only the contents of the basic components of our food, such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats that count, but also whether they are in their natural state or processed, whether they are depleted of, or rich in, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes which we need to break down our food into molecules that our body can absorb.

To maintain or restore health, the right proportions of acidifying and alkalizing foods have to secure the proper acid/alkaline balance of our body cells and tissues.

Even the correct food combining plays an important role, in order to prevent excessive stress on the digestive organs, which may result in an overload of metabolic waste.

Our nutritional habits are one major causal factor in the depletion of our immune system and development of disease.

Scientific studies suggest that many cancers are directly related to nutrition and that a great number of cancer patients die from malnutrition.

Nutritional Immunotherapy is a vital component of the treatment program at the Issels Medical Center.

Our
nutritional immunotherapy aims to--

  • correct cellular salt and water retention and nutritional deficiencies;
  • improve functions of cells, tissues and organs;
  • support immune mechanisms;
  • enhance the cancer defense with nutrients that have shown to increase Natural Killer Cell activity; and
  • contribute to remission of tumors and to improvement of immune disorders.

DISCLAIMER: The extent of the response to treatment varies from patient to patient, even with similar diagnosis as the internal bodily environment is unique to each individual patient.
