Electrodermal Screening

All living creatures generate energy containing biological information, which flows in specific pathways through the organism. These "rivers of energy" that flow through the body were discovered by the Chinese centuries ago and named meridians by Western scientists. The energy that flows through these tracts was called "Qi". It was discovered that each meridian corresponded to specific organs or systems in the body.

In traditional Chinese Medicine many pathologies relate to an imbalance of the energy flow in the meridians. There may be a stagnant flow, very minimal flow, or in some cases the flow of energy may be too great for the organs or systems to work correctly. By stimulating certain points along the meridians with acupuncture harmony and balance can be restored to the flow of energy.

Electrodermal Screening (EDS) builds upon this system of meridians and energy to screen the organs and systems of the body and evaluate their performance. Also known as Electrodermal Screening Test (EDST) or Electroacupuncture according to Voll (EAV), this simple non-invasive technique has its basis in electromagnetic physics and quantum mechanics. EDS uses computerized microcurrent conductance measurements at selected acupuncture points which relate to the internal organs and systems, based on both traditional and modern acupuncture discoveries.

Electrodermal Screening has been shown --

to be effective in testing homeopathic, herbal medicines, and allopathic drugs for their potential for healing; and

to determine the most effective dosage for the individual patient.

EDST has shown to be helpful in finding out root causes for the impairment of the body’s regulatory, repair and defense mechanisms. For the optimal treatment of chronic degenerative diseases, immune disorders and cancer, it is crucial to eliminate these ‘root causes’, in order to restore the regulatory and defense systems to normal functioning, and achieve long-term results.
